Spy was formed and first performed in Manila 1993. Their sound of reggae, rock and fusion was well received. They performed at various gigs and clubs as well as TV shows and radio guest appearances.

Made up of three guys from different parts of the world, Sammy Asuncion from the Philippines, Maurice Casanove from France and Dr. Stix from Austria a new blend of music was formed. Each member bringing their own natural talent and influences to the mix made them a popular band in Manila.  Besides attending concerts regularly, fans would follow any radio and TV appearances closely. They have a loyal following of fans that love their open-minded and eclectic style. Even if SPY were booked to play for an event launch or a bingo on TV program, their supporters would be there cheering them on. Their music is totally original and will live forever.

Their first three albums, SPY, Come on Home and Preno Kaibigan established them in the market but it was Cosmic Blah Blah a mix of rock, reggae and new age established them as the serious alternative music band.

Sula Bama Reggae blast followed up and that has continued to sell well.
